Breathing practice can be used to upshift or downshift your nervous system it's almost like a remote control. I think breathing practices you can do to feel more calm and feel more grounded is an important toolkit for self-regulate, therefore for greater agency. The other two pieces that go with this are building interoception which is basically somatic awareness and then the fourth piece is what we were talking about earlier which is the emotional fluidity piece.
