How to Train to Adapt to High Humidity
Kipchogi is one of America's top runners, but he has struggled to adapt to the heat. High humidity doesn't allow sweat to evaporate so we can no longer lose heat through air cooling. Heat loss comes from convection, which is wind or water and heat. And it comes from evaporation of sweat that drops off us - only when it evaporates. If you are going to race in the heat, you must adapt an adaptation o it. You cannot train for 90 minutes in the heat then go 90 minutes without working on your body.
