How to Maintain Strength Gains in the Gym
During the base season, your goal is to get stronger. The true build phase towards racing is just about maintenance. One heavier lift per week should be enough to maintain most if not all of your strength. And then I've actually found it really beneficial to do a second lift, a lighter lift later on in the week.
