The halo effect is basically the idea that if you as a person or a product have one really strong attribute, it's a amazing good looking or wonderfully funny. What people tend to do is their perception of view is dominated by that attribute and unrelated characteristics are also seen as positive. One way to boost your sense of trustworthiness is to find an attribute that you can categorically indisputably prove.
