The Benefits of Fermented Foods
Some studies have looked into the effect that fermented foods have on the microbiome and in particular inflammatory status of the host. You have to be a little cautious on thinking that any fermented food is going to have a persistent change in your microbiome, but it also doesn't need to have a change in your microbiomes for it to be healthy. No one's actually designed a study to know what your own microbiome would make of those metabolites.
