The Panzerism of Perfection
Amazon's ad business is the only growing part of their entire company right now. Like AWS, I don't think it's growing that fast. Business is actually growing faster, it's billions of dollars and those ads are probably very, very ineffective. Insistence on perfection often prevents the implementation of good improvements. And if you're trying to be perfect, you're just going to fail. A bad decision still better than taking no decision at all.
