How to Guide Your Child Through Childhood

The number one thing that I think adults reflect on when it comes to trauma and childhood is not necessarily the event that happened. It's feeling alone, unpowerless, and defenseless in that event. So if you have a child and they go through something difficult, and I'm talking something even big, like a parent dying or being in an accident, the best thing you can do is allow them to have that experience. That's when we see resilience develop instead of PTSD.
