Using Bees to Protect Crops from Elephants

This chapter explores an unconventional approach to protecting crops from elephants using beehive fences, based on ancient Kenyan folklore. It discusses the effectiveness of real bees and recorded bee sounds in deterring elephants, and highlights the additional benefits of bees in pollination and honey production. The chapter also addresses the question of how much food an elephant consumes daily and provides a vocabulary recap on human wildlife conflict.
