The Inverted Funnel

In the first stage, you have to come up with a product and then build a business around it. To find an audience that is willing to pay for your product, start by looking at their problems. You might end up with aproduct that solves no problem but has no audience who will pay for it. That is the inverted funnel. But if you start with an audience of sharp developers or plumbers in your area, what would they need? While you look at all their problems? They probably have a lot of taxes to file. It's like a travelling salesman type of situation.
