Worked Examples - Is There a Learning Mechanism?
People learn from worked examples the same way that they learn from solving problems, if it's new. A worked example functions both theoretically in its learning and practically when I see it in a very similar way. To think deeply about a solution would mean connecting it to things that you already know for one. And another is situating it, this specific, a solution is a very particular thing; making a generalization on the basis of it.
