The First CG, Is It Make-Up?

There's always been fix-ups later, but that was the first CG really, wasn't it? The first big one. I've been watching these old films on TCM and films of the 50s and things that I've missed before and really practical things that they did, the make-ups. They're not always, they were pretty amazing for the time, but I wonder, I've seen a couple of the aging's where one character you know was aged traditionally with prosthetics and makeup and another hat was more augmented. And I feel like I'm a little bit aware of it, but I guess I just don't know enough about it other than when I see it or
