The precise number bias kicks in and we take action when the number is precise. Uber found that people were more likely to accept this surge price if it was a precise number rather than a suspiciously round number. If you are charging £5, your bottle of lager, charge £5 and £5. It's a lovely, very, very simple tactic. Even if you're running training or you are, if you have a break, say to people, can you come back in 11 minutes? Don't say in 10 minutes.
