If you're advertising for direct line your advertising has to work a bit harder than it does for most insurance brands. Direct line doesn't appear on intermediary comparison websites now there's obviously a financial gain to you in having customers go direct. For many people frankly they just don't really get its significance and importance maybe they've not got as much stuff to ensure or they've not had bad experiences life or bad experiences with insurers.
