A lot of people feel like soreness is a good indicator. But if anything, any exercise that loads the muscle in a stretch position is more prone to make you sore. If it's too much, tell me, because then we have to back up and build slowly. I think sometimes dudes will come out guns ablazing on a new training program and just get sore as shit.
