S is always looking out for positive rel models and positive examples of agine. But on the other hand, i do find myself sometimes having these negative age beliefs brought up in my own minda. I think it has to be because we've taken these images at such a young age. It does take this active monitoring and this active a listening to ourselves,. listening to people around us, andcountering it when we can.

Dr. Becca Levy's research explores psychosocial factors that influence older individuals’ cognitive and physical functioning, as well as their longevity. She is credited with creating a field of study that focuses on how positive and negative age stereotypes, which are assimilated from the culture, can have beneficial and adverse effects, respectively, on the health of older individuals.
