The Importance of Sleep

Sleep does more than just restore things in your brain, says Matthew Walker. It's also a time when some of the most important hormones are being synthesized or at least signals that tell those hormones to be made. A week of significant sleep deprivation will induce profound insulin resistance in about a week, he says.
