The Effects of Excentric Training on Muscle Damage

The fatigue mechanism is identical. It's just a calcium ion accumulation issue. We see those same mechanistic problems when we do too much volume,. When we do higher repetitions, dropsets, we induce all this muscle damage. The mechanisms are actually just the same. That's the reason for isolating out eccentric training from dynamic type contractions.
