The Importance of Breathing Less

Breathing less is probably one of the major keys to increasing anything as you breathe. Your body is always looking to be at the most optimal level, this least amount of energy. If we don't have a lot of CO2, then the oxygen will stay on the red blood cells and then it goes around and it comes out. The Bohr effect says that when you have higher CO2, it's easier for the oxygen to go into the cells - especially if you're working out.
