The Negative Associations Between Anxiety and Care
Like OCD, it is a doubting disorder. And you may reassure you briefly, but then another doubt pops into your head. The Americans now call it illness anxiety disorder. But there are plenty of individuals with health anxiety. We're very careful to try and avoid contact with their doctors for fear. They may be given some bad news or indeed fear that the look on the doctor's face might again trigger some doubts about whether they're ill.
