The robot learned how to pick up objects by trial and error. It picked up pink staplers because it thought they were the same color as baby clothes. But softer things are ones that you should pinch and kind of shove the fingers into the middle, whereas rigidThings are ones that it should pick up on both sides. And in a video company the paper, i acto have a demonstration where i intentionally pick out a bunch of blue objects that are kind of roughly similar shape and size but have diffrent materials.
