The Importance of Protein in a Balanced Diet

Our body prefers to use carbohydrates for energy and it will use fat for energy. So if you are consuming so much protein, so many calories from protein that then your carbohydrates and fats are really low. Now we have a problem where you're not really getting in a lot of energy. And that's a problem if you're an athlete. That's why I say don't go above 1.4 to 2 grams per kilogram of body mass measure because when you do, now you're taking away things that are going to help you havereally good lifting sessions.
