The job of a frontal eye field just tells your eyes to go in the opposite direction. The right frontal eye fields, just don't look at me. Look to the left. And so if it is hypoactive from a stroke, your eyes will be deviated towards the area of lesion. Just knowing the function, the anatomic function of that region, I think helps people not to overthink,. are the eyes looking at the lesion or the weakness or where are they supposed to be?
