A Good Person
I wanted to write something about these feelings. I didn't know the story that would come out of them. My work is resonated before I tapped into a specificity of feelings and emotions. So I thought if I went back and wrote something very, very authentic to myself, there would likely be people that would respond to it like they did to my first film, Garden State. It was in that headspace that I wrote the film, A Good Person. We were literally living in my home during lockdown when he got COVID and was admitted to see her sign eye and slowly died. That's a lot. I'm sorry.
