If you want to specifically target a generation you have to use the way that they talk in their everyday language. I think if you write it simple enough that everybody can understand it then you can reach more people with your copy. A good way to gauge that at least for me is I'm a really bad scholar like I call myself typo girly I have typos all day long and if I're trying to copy write something that is supposed to be world facing so client facing customer facing even like an important internal comms If I can't spell the word with like super confidence that I spelled it correctly I'm gonna replace it for a word that I know how to spell and I knowHow to
