The Importance of Codependency

This week, Aleen is joined by comedian Whitney Cummings. Aleen and Whitney start-off by reminiscing about the time they met to talk about a tv project years ago. Aleen tells Whitney that a recent interview of hers really stuck with her — in it, Whitney and Ashley Graham talked about the "codependency epidemic," or how many of us constantly think about what others think of us. This inspires Whitney to tell us about the self-work she’s done to stop being so codependent and owning her sh*t. Whitney then talks about how this issue translates to women’s health and why women should start rewiring our brains to best take care of ourselves. Next, Whitney tells Aleen about the campaign she’s working on with a new type of birth control and why she’s on a mission to help women stop apologizing for simply being a woman. To wrap up, Aleen and Whitney play a game about un-apologizing, Whitney convinces Aleen to *try* not to say sorry for the next month and they discuss how we can help make things better for younger generations.
