Two sessions a week with heavy strength work will increase your level of strength. If at appointed time you have to back that off to once a week, you're no longer building up strength. But variety is very good as well. I do think you should be well rounded and do some upper body, some trunks, some lower legs within your jim session a. When i'm saying if you want to become a better runner, then you need two strength sessions a week of your legs. And say, on the the first session of the week, it might be squats, lunges, calf raisors. And then the second session might be squats again, and might be dead lifts
