Supreme Court Justices in Active Service

John Avlon: I propose that we modify the manner in which each justice serves on the court for life slash good behavior. He says people would commit to an 18-year term and then transition to a slightly different set of Supreme Court responsibilities. Avlon: An emeritus justice would devote most of her daily attention to court-related administrative, ceremonial, education, public relations functions.
