The Importance of Prioritising Your Training
The biggest lesson you might learn in university is priorities. I had a very clear priority which was training and competing at an international sort of stage. Don't be afraid to scale back on the training one day if you need to make room for something else or vice versa. As someone that struggles with mental health do you struggle to find a balance? Do you rely on physical training as a coping mechanism for your depression as such a similar way to being an alcoholic? It's not the same, they're not in the same category but it means that we are equally vulnerable to if a pandemic comes along and the gyms are no longer accessible we suddenly feel cut off. We're cold turkey.
