The Role of Lipoproteins in Sleep Disorders in Autistic Kids
Research from Australia found that fat molecules called lipids play a role in sleep disturbances in autistic kids. Researchers investigated the panel of nearly 800 different fats in the blood plasma of 765 kids, including 485 diagnosed as autistic kids. They identified a potential link between reduced levels of several long chain, polyunsaturated, fatty acids, and poor sleep. The findings were published in the Journal of Nature Medicine.
