In a diet that's providing excess calories and there's a lot of calories coming from sugar, it does seem to result in a conversion of these excess carbohydrates into fat. High triglycerides can be associated with conditions like acute pancreatitis and all kinds of problems. And we now know that people who have a high uric acid and the absence of that about 15 percent of them have crystals in their blood vessels.
