The Importance of Discourse in Mathematics Education
In a recent article, an international group of psychology of mathematics education worked on the top things that they could be working on. They were: Ethnomathematics, sociology, and discourse. I was really disappointed in that list, apart from all the other disappointments that came so far. It starts doing some philosophical theorizing in this way that I find to be just incredibly unhelpful.
