The Importance of Dietary Fiber in the Gut

Dietary fiber can be metabolized by certain bacteria in the gut into something called short chain fatty acids like buteric acid, propionic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid, anything else. These compounds are actually the bacterial waste the bacterial feces if you will and then we absorb these compounds which regulate a number of different aspects of our biology so they increase the number of t regulatory cellsThese are cells that attenuate inflammation calm the immune system. If you're not eating dietary fiber it's likely that your immune system is operating in a hyper inflammatory state this hyper inflammatory state can drive a lot of different types of western diseases ranging from autoimmune diseases metabolic disorders things like asthma allergies.
