Is There a Convergence of AI Fields?

I think that's a great question. So the fact that I jumped around a lot means I kind of getting like different fields at different points in time. And I observed that all of these fields, like in green speech, video, semi-supervised learning, distributed systems, all of that start to use like neural networks instead of hand-engineered pipelines. All of these fields are converging towards that. But the other thing that I didn't like when I was jumping around is that you need to have still a lot of domain-specific biases in each of these little soft fields.
