Hello, Sean. It's great to be here.
Speaker 3
Okay. Going through transformation is notoriously difficult for most companies. Dom, maybe you can lead us off by just telling us some of the reasons why it's so hard. Yeah.
Speaker 4
Thanks so much, Sean. So it's change at a scale of an intensity and at a speed that is exceptional and inherently uncomfortable. It's really difficult. And I think that applies regardless of the sort of transformation you're undergoing. Maybe it's a digital transformation. Maybe it is an operating model transformation. Maybe it's an organizational structure transformation. Maybe it's a holistic transformation. You're addressing all of these issues at once. Whatever the sort of transformation you're undergoing, I think that that one common factor is it's hard. But that said, many organizations do it very effectively. Some organizations fail to do it effectively. And it's that kind of disconnect. Why do some organizations succeed? Why do some not? It really has spurred our research. And last year, we continued our ongoing research here to better understand what factors make that difference between success and failure. And after surveying nearly 500 respondents and analyzing thousands of data points, we boiled it down to three core concepts, will, skill, and rigor. Yet that research left a few unanswered questions. We knew that establishing organizational will, this collective commitment to the transformation was important. And we'd seen success in doing so, but we weren't satisfied that we'd fully unpacked how to drive will consistently and at scale. What management practices are most important in establishing that will? And so that's what we set out to answer with the research that we're going to share with
