The Importance of Shame

Shame is the feeling of contempt for ourselves when we fall short of our own standards. This is just like when we show up as human, which news flash is imperfect. None of these things are actual wrongdoings. They're not anything that we've done, quote unquote, wrong. We haven't broken any laws. There's no rule that says like the house needs to be perfect. As terrible as it feels, I am so glad that my clients get to see me show up imperfectly and still be amazing at my job. Still create things that are so valuable. What do I always say, my friends?
