Trainability of the Gut

We know from research studies that you can train the gut really well. You can train how fast you can empty solids and liquids from the stomach. And another part of that training is just stomach comfort. If you give runners a large volume to drink, they find it very uncomfortable. But if you do that five or six days in a row, towards the end, they find that's a very tolerable, no problem anymore.
