The Incoherence of the Philosophers
Robert roedgleve was involved heavily in the politics of the time, writing this piece for the caliph. And er, i believe that the kind of environment that he was in was rather more like wolf hall than whitehall. His primary target is avicena, but he's not necessarily naming individual philosophers. He outlines a number of things which they are just plain doctrinally wrong about. The three doctrines were viewed by algazali as demonstrating that the philosophers were outside the pale of islam.
