Sleep Spindles
Sleep spindles are not a transition between whe end done. So it's not a useless transitional state, that everything is probably important. We really need to be measuring sleep from the structure that we think we want to test. For example, if sleep is for learning and memory, you can't just expect to slap a couple of surface electrodes on the visual cortexd and assume what the rest of the brain is doing from there. In humans, am electro physiologically, we can’t see very deep with these surface electrodes, we actually have to implant them deep, which isdangerous. And then those precious few people who do have depth electrodes implanted, for whatever reason it was
