Twitter's Board Played a Critical Role

Twitter's legal strategy was still important to maintain leverage. The Twitter board couldn't just sit back and say, "Well, eventually he'll close" I think that the board had a great case, but they also felt quite constrained by the strength of that case. They chose between the two choices of litigating with their merger partner andlitigating with their shareholders.
