The Modern Moloch was a deity of the Ammonites. In this particular cartoon, you see a driver kneeling at an altar which is the front grill of a car with a huge bowl full of the corpses of children. Offering it up to the mouth of this machine beast as a sacrifice. It may seem a little bizarre to us today until you recognize that this thing was killing thousands of children every year.
