Homer and Archilochus, the Forefathers of Greek Poetry
Homer and archelocus are the forefathers of greek poetry. The two equally completely original from whom a stream of fire flows over later greek history. Homer, the aged, self absorbed dreamer, now beholds with astonishment the passionate head of the warlike votary of the muses - archilochus. And so we have the poet and the playwright.
