The Need for Coherence

CNN's John Sutter looks at the role of confirmation bias in our society. He says we like people who are quick, witty and humble. We extrapolate from those traits into other qualities that make us think they're good or bad for a job. The need for coherence makes it hard to tell if someone is going to be your friend when you meet up with them later on.
