Fitbit founder and CNN's John Sutter talks about how to tell if fasting is working for you. He says people should look at their body composition as well as metabolic biomarkers such as glucose, HBA1C or C-reactive protein. Looking at heart rate variability can also be a good indicator of whether the fast is helping your weight loss process. But he warns that we don't want to put the horse into the race before all these benefits have been realized.
