Thai is a tonal language it is a full-on contour tone language similar to I don't know Chinese which we've covered before or Vietnamese where you have each syllable is at least each stress syllable is assigned a contour uh and there are five of these um so this one thing is likeUm like a lot of Chinese languages not Mandarin because Mandarin doesn't have stop coders but like Cantonese has it too. For Thai you have sort of different realizations of tones for whether depending on whether the word ends in a stop or not.
