For me, love is a broader experience of just experiencing the joy and the beauty of life. So like just looking out in nature, that's a kind of love. Like whatever the chemicals that lead to a feeling that at least echoes the same kind of feeling that you get with a romantic love,. You can experience that with even inanimate objects. It just feels good to be alive kind of.

David Buss is an evolutionary psychologist at UT Austin. He is one of the founders of the field of evolutionary psychology.
