The Importance of Emotional Hardwiring
I think too many people believe that just the consumption of mental models and understanding biases is enough to flip the switch here, but I don't think it is. It is ultimately about intervening in that space between stimulus and response. So emotions are not something we can escape, they're the foundation of human behavior. Without emotion, there's no reason to get out better than me. And rationality is good for thought, but it's not good for action.
