The Role of Head Office in Branch Compliance
The UK regulators accept that branch strategy is going to be influenced and directed to some extent by head office but they want to know that the branch can make its own decisions whether to undertake particular business. In reality this often manifests itself in the branch management committee or or other governing body looking much like a mini board of directors but with an additional information flow too. Fodra: I think it takes some serious consideration in terms of organizational setup for any bank operating as a regulated branch.
