How to Set Long-Term Goals
If I have a long time off of training, that tempo or sweet spot feels brutally hard because I'm not conditioned to enduring that sort of pain. For someone like Rob, who isn't motivated to really hurt and suffer right now, they might push me to suffer more than I would otherwise. So group rides are great for stuff like that. There are times when I'm not able to see through the pain to be able to see the reward. And that makes it difficult to accomplish what I want to do.
