If you're training for a trail race, then i would highly rage you to get out on the trails for some of your runs. It also gives you really good practice running in your trail shoes,. Road racing can be very clamorous, like with the shoes and the little bun bathing suit, short things and crop tops, watlepat and trill running. You want to have that practice running on that technical rain and especially hiking., If there's a lot of elevation in your race, you want your legs to be prept for those steep hills or maybe the mountains.
