There are two reasons why researchers think being in nature is important to our mental health. The idea that nature reminds us of life, and if we are exposed the natural elements, then our sort of negative feelings get almost immediately replaced with positive emotions. When you say innate, that as in deep within us, yes, trally. Then something that we almost can't rally control, if you like. It'st's something that just happens without us being even aware of it, or beyond our control. So we have this sort of inate, build in positive response to life and life like features.
